4C mailboxes are highly customizable mailbox units that are designed to be recessed in walls, mounted on walls, or pedestal mounted. Many communities choose to upgrade their existing mailboxes to 4C not just because of bigger mailboxes and built in parcel lockers, but also much stronger security. Most units are USPS approved, but not all. Surface mount
Any 4C model can be surface mounted. With the purchase of a surface mount collar in addition to your 4C bank you can surface mount your mailboxes. Communities that choose this option are often replacing old mailboxes and may not necessarily have the time, wall depth or other factors to recess their 4C mailboxes. Surface mounting the units is a great solution.
